Great New York Times article on the next frontier in search technology. It’s searching databases. Currently search engines only catalog webpages but there’s infinitely more information out there in the form of web based databases like the ones that contain flight pricing data. I took a peek at DeepPeep.org, which this article lauds as being at the forefront of “deep web” or database search and sadly Deep Peep is not all that effective. Looks like there is a long way to go.
